Tryon Arts & Crafts School’s latest gallery show, entitled “Retro-Inspired,” opened on Saturday, Aug. 20, and was a gala event. In addition to the retro-inspired art from up through the end of the 20th century with artist statements, the night featured retro-inspired hors d’oeuvres, signature tea-themed cocktails and a tea dance with music provided by vocalist Chelsea St. John Wade, accompanied by pianist Pam McNeil.

The show also featured nostalgic décor from past decades, and guests were invited to attend in apparel from their favorite period as well. The show will run through Sept. 24 at the school at 373 Harmon Field Road, so do get over there and see this fascinating show that will have you reliving your own memories from the past.
