Evelyn Mosley

Evelyn Marie Edwards Mosley died May 6, 2016 following a brief illness. Born July 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lucius and Leila Alverson Edwards and a life-long resident of Spartanburg County.

She moved to Landrum in 1954 with her husband, J. L. Mosley.  She and J. L. were married 61 years before his death in 2015.

She is survived by her daughter Alisa Mosley and her husband Thomas Kosmata of Lexington, S.C.; son Philip Mosley of Campobello, S.C.; granddaughter Lane-Marie Mosley Kosmata of Columbia, S.C.; sisters Rachel Lanford of Windsor Lockes, Conn.  and Nancy Garrett and her husband Tommy of Prosperity, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Ida Mae Cartee, and brother, Robert Edwards.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
