A crowd gathered at the Tryon Gallery Coffee Shop on Sunday evening, May 1 to send notes of thanks and peace birds to Planting Peace, the organization that recently placed a billboard against the state’s HB2 bill at the Hwy. 108/Skyuka Rd. intersection in Lynn. The sign was vandalized last week and taken down. “Let’s take a stand and show that our small town will not stand for bigotry of any kind!” stated the protest’s Facebook invitation.
