The Rotary Club of Tryon, in partnership with the organization Stop Hunger Now, held a meal-packaging event on Saturday at Polk County High School. Stop Hunger Now is a food packaging organization that supplies food to help relieve hunger all over the world. They partner with communities and organizations to donate 25 cents per meal packaged to purchase the ingredients and provide for administrative costs. The Rotary Club’s hope is to have raised enough funds to provide 30,000 meals for the children of Haiti. (Photo by Betty Ramsey)
