Though Polk County’s varsity baseball team lost its first conference game of the season, last week’s games also featured the Wolverines’ first win.

In a slugfest on Thursday, March 10, Rosman edged the Wolverines, 10-9.
Last Tuesday, March 8, the Wolverines scored four in the home fourth, and two in the seventh, to nip Pisgah 6-5, in non-conference play.
Head coach Ty Stott’s players pounded out eight hits in the win.
Another busy week is in store for the Wolverines, who host WHC rival Mountain Heritage this Tuesday evening, and the Asheville Trailblazers Thursday, March 17. Both varsity games begin at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday, the Wolverines travel to Mitchell for a 4 p.m. varsity start (JV at 6:30).
