Polk County District Court results for Feb. 3

In Polk County District Court on Feb. 3, 2016, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 129 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Sarah Beth Brown was convicted of financial card theft. Brown was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, 20 days in jail with credit, a $200 fine and court costs.
Lesley Alan Keeter was convicted of two counts of possession of stolen goods. Keeter was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Kenly Smith Kerr was convicted of possession of marijuana. Kerr was fined $50 and court costs.
Nova Lani Martin was convicted of resisting public officer. Martin was sentenced to one day in jail with credit.
Tammy Page was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Page was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.
Carey Eugene Vinson was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Vinson was fined $30 and court costs.
