Faye Rice Lynch

Faye Rice Lynch, 89, of Mill Spring, N.C. went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, Feb. 2, 2016 at Chunns Cove Assisted Living Center, Asheville, N.C.
Born in Polk County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Eli Whitney Williams and Loma Constance Williams. Mrs. Lynch retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of Coopers Gap Baptist Church, Mill Spring, N.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Rice who died in 1971, her second husband, Reverend George W. Lynch who died in 1998, and one brother, George Williams.
Surviving are three sons, William B. Rice of Asheville, N.C., Jerry Lynch (Jewell) of Sunnyview, N.C. and Andrew Lynch of Lyman, S.C.; one daughter, Jewell Huntsinger (Mike) of Sunny View, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Matthew Rice, Bryan Lynch (Laura), Dwayne Lynch, Mark Lynch (Tricia), Scott Lynch (Lisa), Kristen Lynch, Jeremiah Carswell (Pam) and Carri Carswell. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 in Coopers Gap Baptist Church, Mill Spring, N.C. with Reverend Donald Hollifield and Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Friday from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will follow in Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Mill Spring, N.C.
