Gail J. Skipper, 72, of Greenville, S.C., died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Magnolia Place in Greenville, S.C.

Gail was a native of Rutherford County and daughter of the late Robert and Mae Williams Jones.  She was a registered nurse and worked in  health care for many years.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Melton Jones.

She is survived by one daughter, Tracey S. Pires and her husband John Pires of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Marion Shuster of Franklin, N.C. and Jennifer Cook of Bath, N.C.; two brothers, Steve Jones of  Concord, N.C. and Stanley Jones of Columbia, S.C.; and four grandchildren, John Robert Pires, Adrienne Pires, Catherine Pires and Jillian Pires.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at McMahan’s Funeral Home. The grave side service will be at Chimney Rock Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 with Reverend Dean Baughn officiating. Interment will be at Chimney Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
