Joyrides to Iceland is a photographic presentation combining four horseback riding adventures on this volcanic island perched atop the violent Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Vince Verrecchio brings decades of advertising photography experience and Gloria Verrecchio, her knowledge as an equine rehabilitation veterinarian to add color and depth to stories that blend history, culture, terrain, and the gaited Icelandic Horse. They will try to help you imagine and sense “tolting” across movie sets created by nature for such films as “Thor,” “Prometheus,” “Interstellar,” and “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” Join them at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 at the Lanier Library, 72 Chestnut Street, Tryon for this very special presentation.
