Hazel Louise Owens, age 82, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20,2015. She is survived by her loving husband James “Speck” Owens and three of their children, Steve, Sherrie and Terri Owens. Their youngest daughter Cindy preceded them in death in 2011. Hazel also leaves two grandchildren, Josh Owens and Chelsea Morris and two great grandchildren, Reese Owens and Carson Burnette. She is survived by one sister, Linda Denton.

Hazel leaves many other family, extended family and friends who will remember her stories, her quick wit and her laughter. She was never at a loss for words.

Services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 27at 3 p.m. at Pacolet Baptist Church, 3424 Skyuka Drive, Tryon, N.C. Pastor Chad Bowen will officiate. Family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
