Polk women host WHC rival Mountain Heritage this evening

Aim to up WHC record at home

This evening, Polk County’s varsity women have a chance to be 2-1 in Western Highlands Conference basketball, when the Wolverines host Mountain Heritage.
Game time is set for 6:30. Polk’s young, but quickly-improving team is 3-4 overall, and 1-1 in WHC games.
On Tuesday, Dec. 15, Mitchell edged Polk, 47-43.
The Wolverines, led by Hayley Kropp (24 points, 11 rebounds), outscored the Mountaineers, 15-5 in the fourth quarter, but Mitchell had taken a 33-17 halftime lead.
Autumn Owen (eight points), Mariah Overholt (four points, eight rebounds), Ansley Lynch (two points, seven rebounds), and Kendall Hall (four points) helped pace the Wolverines.
Mountain Heritage comes into this evening’s contest at 5-1 overall, and 1-0 in the WHC.
