Wolverine women edge Madison in first game in WHC

Friday, Dec. 11 was a busy evening for Polk County’s Hayley Kropp. The talented and driven senior scored 33 points (two-thirds of the team’s total), grabbed 12 rebounds, and picked six steals, as the varsity Wolverines edged Madison, 50-48, at Madison to start their Western Highlands Conference season with a win.
Polk is now 3-3 overall, and 1-0 in the WHC, with another WHC game this Tuesday evening at Mitchell.
Autumn Owen added eight points and six rebounds, with Ansley Lynch netting five points, to help keep the Patriots at bay.
This Friday, Dec. 18, the Wolverines host WHC rival Mountain Heritage.
