Public input meeting for Searcy Field Dec. 1

The Polk County Recreation Department is hosting a workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 1 to get input from the public regarding uses for Searcy Field in Mill Spring.
The workshop is a drop-in event at the Polk County Public Library in Columbus from 6-7:30 p.m. The recreation department is gathering input for upgrades to Searcy Field, which currently has two ball fields with backstops. The property sits on approximately seven acres, owned by Polk County and is adjacent to the Mill Spring Agricultural Center. The workshop will have maps and aerial photographs for the public to view and draw thoughts. (Photo by Leah Justice)
