Tryon Fine Arts Center celebrates the holidays with sophistication and magic bringing the classic Nutcracker theme to the annual fundraiser. Attendees will enjoy the elegant Holiday Ball, on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Tryon Fine Arts Center. This year’s event will be held in tents affixed to the lobby of TFAC and in the lobby.
Enjoy the warmth and beauty of the holiday season with your friends in the gracious home of the Stahlbaum family. Eat delicious, delectable treats catered by Ken and Chris Brackett, and savor wine sponsored by Mountain Brook Vineyards. Then, with the arrival of Uncle Drosselmeyer and his magical gifts, be transported to the Land of Snow and Sweets for a night of enchantment and special appearances by cast members of Ballet Spartanburg’s Nutcracker Suite. Dance into the night to live, lively music with a three-piece band led by Mack McCloud.
A live auction with auctioneer Bill Jones and sponsored by Camp Wayfarer, will feature a summer camp experience for someone’s lucky child, a trip to the imperial capitals of Europe, a Charleston getaway and other items and experiences. A cartload of wine, compliments of the TFAC board of directors, will go home with one fortunate attendee.
This year’s silent auction continues the Nutcracker theme with 25 unique wooden nutcrackers painted by area artists. Original and playfully themed from Morris to Magritte, the traditional nutcrackers are the inspiration of local artists and residents and sponsored by Gosnell Menard Robinson Infante, CPA, PA.
Tara Brannon, event chair, and her committee have pulled out all of the stops to plan a beautiful and exciting, not to mention fun event that will help support the operations of TFAC throughout the year.
