Marlene Reiling Forrest of Columbus, N.C., 72, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at Tryon Estates. She was the daughter of the late William Ernst and Rose Anger Reiling and wife of the late Alexander Forrest.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and a concert pianist. She also taught piano lessons.

She is survived by a niece, Sandra Puhlhorn, and her husband, John, of Tryon.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Michael Keel and Rev. Brent Frady.
