Homecoming at Landrum’s Cardinal Stadium this evening features the 2-1 Cardinals hosting 0-3 conference rival, Carolina Academy, but Landrum head coach Jason Farmer knows that every contest must be fought individually.
“They’re very athletic,” Farmer noted of the visitors, “like they always are. If we don’t tackle well,” he cautioned, Trojan runners they can break loose for big plays.”
“They’re going to come in very hungry,” Farmer predicted of the Trojans, who took a 55-7 thumping from Christ Church Episcopal last Friday. He added, “It was exciting to beat Polk. I’m very proud of the kids.” Last Friday the Cardinals prevailed over Polk 24-21 in a hotly-fought rivalry game.
However, Farmer added, “If we don’t prepare ourselves, we’ll be 2-2.”
Opening kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
