To the editor:

 

Polk County has for the last few years benefited hugely from the presence of its investigators. By denying both P. Lovelace and N. Hasselbring from continuing in their positions, the commissioners are doing Polk County a huge disservice. Many people, through either ignorance or lack of ability to do anything about the situations, cannot help the animals that are in need. These two give freely of their time and effort, not for pay but for the benefit of the animals that are put in horrendous situations through no cause of their own. Please reinstate these hard working individuals for the betterment of our animals and our county.
