When Landrum plays near its potential, the Cardinals will win batches of football games, but on Friday, Aug. 28, they lost to host Travelers Rest, 41-7, to begin the season.  The Devildogs scored 19 points in the first quarter, added 14 in the second, and eight in the third, to dominate the non-conference game. Landrum scored late in the fourth period, on a run by Anthony Anderson.  This Friday, Sept. 4, the Cardinals host Walhalla, which edged West-Oak, 20-19, on Aug. 28.  On Sept. 11, they host Polk County, in an intense rivalry matchup between the two schools.  All games begin at 7:30.
