Clyde Allen Pack, 91, of Mill Spring, N.C. passed away from this world, Wednesday morning, March 25, 2015 in White Oak Manor of Tryon, N.C.
Born in Polk County, N.C., he was the son of the late Otis and Annabelle Walker Pack and widower of Iris Parris Pack after 61 years of marriage. Mr. Pack was a veteran of WWII having served in the Merchant Marines before entering the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He retired from Bigelow Carpets Landrum, S.C. Mr. Pack was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, N.C.
Left with loving memories are a daughter, Teresa P. Pate (Jack) of Landrum, S.C.; two grandchildren who he adored, Misty Pate-Coan (Tripp) and Shawna Allison both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three great grandchildren, Katlyn Allison, Conner Coan, IV, and Jackson Allen Coan.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alene “Dean” Dalton, Melva “P.D.” Williams; five brothers, Charles, Henry, John “Tam”, Arthur and Alvin Pack. He was the last survivor of his family.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, N.C. with Rev. David Bame and Rev. Bob Philbeck officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
