Upstairs Artspace to host Literary Open Stage

Established and emerging writers are invited to share their work at the monthly Literary Open Stage at the Upstairs Artspace in Tryon on Friday, March 13. The events will proceed on the second Friday of each month through the year. Sign-up for the 10-minute spots begins at 6:30 p.m., with readings at 7 p.m.
Listeners are also encouraged to attend for an eclectic evening of spoken word from fiction and creative nonfiction, to poetry. The event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome, and all proceeds go to our nonprofit gallery.
The Upstairs Artspace is a nonprofit art gallery whose mission is to develop an understanding and appreciation of contemporary art and craft forms through exhibits, programs and educational activities that enrich the cultural life of the region. Its free programs are made possible through the support of the Polk County Community Foundation, the North Carolina Council of the Arts and the generous support of its members.
