Larry Dean Conner, 54, of Columbus, NC died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.

Born in Polk County, NC he was the son of Ethel Jeanette Dimsdale Conner of Columbus, NC and the late Roland Conner.  He worked for 34 years with Grover Industries and later worked at Carolina Yarn Processors and South Carolina Elastic.  Larry was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Surviving beside his mother are his wife of 10 years, Janice Anders Conner; a son, Barrie Conner (Katie) of Columbus, NC; daughter Glenna Ledford of Columbus, NC and son Clint Pickett (Courtney) of Lillington, NC; 3 brothers, Jeff Conner and Charles Conner (Angela) both of Columbus, NC and Glenn Conner (Cookie) of Rutherfordton, NC; 8 grandchildren Makayla, Auston & Hunter Ledford; Cole, Sedrick & Chloe Pickett and Natilee & Emma Conner.  Also surviving are a brother-in-law Greg Anders (Teresa) of Rural Retreat, VA and Father-in-law, Dean Anders of Fries, VA.  A sister, Glenna Conner who died in l959, preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at Midway Baptist Church in Columbus with Rev. Peter McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends just prior to the service.
