Polk sheriff’s office arrests man wanted in Colorado for grand theft auto

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man off a traffic stop who was wanted in Colorado for aggravated grand theft auto. The stop also resulted in the arrest of a woman wanted in Henderson County for failure to appear for auto theft charges as well as two other persons on drug charges. 

On Sept. 25 around 3:30 p.m., members of the Polk County Criminal Interdiction Team stopped a blue 2005 Dodge Caravan for failure to maintain lane control,
according to sheriff reports.

The driver, Lloyd Kimies Derreberry, was arrested on a fugitive warrant out of Colorado for aggravated grand theft auto, according to the sheriff’s office.

The front passenger, Jaqueline Hill, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of Henderson County and also charged with possession of stolen property and
possession of drug paraphernalia, according to sheriff reports.

The sheriff’s office also charged two other occupants of the van with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the
sheriff’s office.
