On Tuesday, Sept. 30 the N.C . Forest Service and the Polk County Cooperative Extension Service are joining forces to offer a tree identification class for area residents. The workshop will involve some modest walking, so it is suggested that attending wear comfortable shoes. The walk will begin at 10 a.m.

The class will be held at St Luke’s Hospital on the trail located behind the emergency room. Participants are asked to park at the doctor’s offices near Hwy 108 on Hospital Drive.
