On the back deck of the Polk County Public Library, professional actor/director Michael MacCauley meets with local fifth graders as they prepare to perform a scene from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the Tryon Fine Arts Center amphitheater Sunday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. Following refreshments, patrons will head into TFAC for a whacky performance of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” by the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. All free, an afternoon of theatre and fellowship 3-5 p.m. thanks to a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation.
