The Annual Praising in the Park event has been set for September 13, 2014, at Rogers Park, Tryon N.C. This is the sixth year that the event has been held and eagerly anticipated each year. One of the hosts for this year’s event will be Fox Carolina News Meteorologist, Ted Phaeton.

Ted Phaeton is the weekend meteorologist on The Ten O’clock News, which airs Saturdays and Sundays at 10 p.m.
Ted grew up in Brentwood, NY, and went to college at the University of Albany where he graduated with a degree in Broadcast Meteorology.
Ted went to work at WNEM-TV5 in Saginaw, MI, as the Meteorologist Trainee in March 2013 until moving to the Upstate in December. Of course, Mr. Phaeton’s appearance is weather permitting.
On tap this year is 11 different performing artists, which include, soloist, choirs, quartets, and dance groups.
Praising in the Park begins at 4 pm. Admission is free. Free food and drinks will be available. This event is sponsored by the Unity in the Community and funded by The Polk County Community Foundation. For more information call 828-817-1750.
