Benefit for Nancy Johnson Aug. 30

Full Proof Ministries in Tryon will be holding a benefit program on Saturday, Aug. 30 for Mrs. Nancy Johnson.
On May 9, Nancy Johnson of Columbus was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, which spread to her lymph nodes. She had surgery on May 19 and on May 27 began six rounds of chemotherapy to be followed by six weeks of radiation.
On June 30, Mrs. Johnson went to the emergency room with a severe pain in her neck where her port-a-catheter was placed. It was discovered that she had a blood clot in her superior vena cava vein, which could break loose and travel to her lungs and cause pulmonary embolism. She then began taking blood thinners to dissolve the clot.
The community is asked to join Full Proof Ministries on Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. to support and assist Mrs. Johnson and her family – husband William Johnson; children Latisha, Shannon and BJ; and grandson Jameer.
Full Proof Ministries is located at 199 Jackson St. in Tryon, N.C. Reverend Timothy Brown is pastor. For more information, call 828-859-6555 or 828-859-6974.
