In response to the interest generated by the cover story on Patti D’Arbanville in the current issue of Life in Our Foothills magazine, Tryon Arts and Crafts School will be offering an opportunity for the public to drop by and meet D’Arbanville, as well as learn more about all that is offered through the jewelry studios of the school.
On Saturday evening, August 30, everyone is invited to attend this event scheduled to run from 5 – 7 p.m. at Tryon Arts and Crafts School at Harmon Field. D’Arbanville will give a brief introductory talk at 5:15pm about herself and her passion for creating unique pieces of wearable artwork through jewelry-making. D’Arbanville will show some of her work, and introduce you to several of the jewelry instructors at Tryon Arts and Crafts School, who will in turn offer you an opportunity to see demonstrations of some of the techniques taught in the various classes and workshops offered at the school. Students and instructors will also display some of their work to give you an idea of the range of items that can be created.
Tryon Arts and Crafts School offers classes in various levels of silversmithing, lapidary, and metal clay jewelry, as well as a variety of workshops that teach specific techniques and range in level from beginner to “master” level. For more information, go to TryonArtsandCrafts.org.
