Roger Ben Roberts, 63, of Columbus, N.C. passed away Friday morning, August 1, 2014 in Autumn Care of Saluda.

Born in Madison County, N.C., he was the son of the late Ray and Annie Maye Fleming Roberts.  Mr. Roberts worked for Claudy Pack Dairy for 20 years and later was a truck driver for Capps Brothers in Landrum, S.C.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Nancy Robinson Roberts; one son, Roger Wayne Roberts (Teresa) of Mill Spring, N.C. and one granddaughter, Brittany Ravan (Phillip) of Mill Spring, N.C.  Also surviving are three brothers, Nathan Roberts (Christine) of Waynesville, N.C.; Dale Roberts (Judy) of Leicester, N.C.; and David Roberts (Louise) of Waynesville, N.C. along with four sisters, Agnes Brooks of Hot Springs, NC; Jean Allison of Hot Springs, N.C.; Sue Keener (Dale) of Hot Springs, N.C. and Carolyn McClure (Jerry) of Waynesville, N.C.  Also a grand-dog, Harley and five great-grand-dogs.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, N.C. with Rev. Charlie Jackson officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
