The Tryon Garden Club has received a Kirby Grant from The Polk County Community Foundation for the continuing maintenance of the Depot Garden located in the heart of Tryon.
The grant supports the beautification of the garden with a seasonal professional cleanup as well as the addition of mulch for the plantings.
The Tryon Garden Club has maintained the Depot Garden since 1948, and is a 501 (c) not for profit organization whose mission is to “foster awareness and appreciation of the natural world though preserving, protecting and treasuring Pearson Falls, contributing to the beautification of Tryon and educating members and the community.”
