Carol Jackson, immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Tryon, presented the Joseph P. Wells Award to Rotarian Don Lyons. This award has been given annually since 1974 to acknowledge Outstanding Service Above Self. Lyons, who served the Club as President in 2010-2011, has taken many leadership roles in the Tryon Club and has demonstrated a “can do” attitude. His name is added to club trophy on which the names of 39 previous recipients appear.
