Fred M. Messer

Fred Michael Messer, 72, of 207 Camelia Circle died May 31, 2014. He was the son of the late William Joseph and Jessie Stepp Messer and husband of Leota Plumley Messer.
He was a Baptist and was retired from Textiles. He served in the US Navy.
060114-Obit_FredMesserHe is survived by his wife, Leota Plumley Messer; a son, Phillip Messer and wife Nicky; a brother, John T. Messer, a sister, Nancy M. Dalton, and his beloved dog, Cookie.
He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Buck Messer, Art M. Pace, Ida M. Owens, Billie M. Emory, Muriel M. Blakely, Douglas Messer, and Cris M. Williams.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Turner and Rev. Kelly Belcher. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
