Jean Conner

Shelby Jean Belue Conner, 75, of Columbus passed away May 6, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Tallie Walker and Bertha Brock Belue and wife of the late John Neil Conner.
She was retired from the Polk County School System and had worked at Landrum Drug for many years.
She is survived by three sons, John W. “Jesse” Conner and wife Beth of Lynn, Roger M. Conner and wife Sharon of Columbus and Richard L. Conner  of Columbus; honorary son, Joe Lee Case; four brothers, Bill Belue of Landrum, Allen Belue of Slater, S.C., Jake Belue of Hendersonville and Leon Belue of Green Creek; a sister, Betty Burgess of Gaffney; and two grandchildren, Austin and Jaron Conner of Columbus.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Petty Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at Midway Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Peter McDonald, Rev. Gary Lockee and Rev. Lloyd Howard.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home.
