Vining makes dean’s list

Rachel Vining of Tryon was among students honored recently with inclusion on Carson-Newman University’s dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester.
Students earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while taking 12 or more credit hours are awarded the distinction of dean’s list honors.
Carson-Newman University is a private, Christian liberal arts instiution. Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is located in Jefferson City, Tenn., among the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The university has 2,045 students and offers 50 undergraduate majors, as well as bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees. The institution’s website is cn.edu.
