The Tryon Holistic Health Discussion Group will meet Saturday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Polk County Public Library. Autumn Singleton and Pauline Ross, members of the Tryon Holistic Health Discussion Group, will demonstrate a variety of therapies that can complement conventional medical interventions.
Singleton, a local practitioner, will talk about and demonstrate sound and color therapy used in conjunction with acupressure.
Ross, a local artist and Tibetan bowl player, will provide an introduction to and demonstration of the Tibetan bowls.
Mark Neville, a resident of Tryon and organizer of the group, said, “This is just our second meeting and we’re off to a great start. We’re providing a forum for local professional healthcare providers as well as for members of the general public to meet, get acquainted, and learn together.”
Neville said, “ I’m particularly excited about Saturday’s meeting in which we get to ring in the New Year with the spirit-lifting sound of Tibetan bowls.”
