Landrum United Methodist Church will host a monthly community dinner from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at the UMC Family Life Center.
Volunteers will prepare the dinner. The entire community is invited.
Volunteers also supply bags of groceries and sundries from the United Way of Piedmont. Doors open at 2 p.m. Landrum UMC is located at 227 N. Howard Street, Landrum.
Nancy Surface initiated the event and it has grown through the years.
“We’ve been doing it for seven years now and we see around a thousand people,” said Jody McPherson, mission chair. “Some people eat there and others do take out.”
The community dinner occurs the fourth Saturday of every month.
