The fifth annual Reindeer Games Track meet will be hosted at the new Polk County High School track this Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 4-7 p.m. Holiday attire is strongly encouraged as everyone comes to support the running Wolverines.
Entry fee will be two cans of food (make sure you designate PCHS as your school of choice for can donations).
Last year, the track team collected more than 600 cans and donated to Thermal Belt Outreach. PCHS Track Team is undefeated in the Can Collection Competition.
Field events 4 p.m.: Shot put, long/triple/high jump, pole vault.
Running events 4:15 p.m.: (on a rolling – one after the other – schedule).
4×800 meter relay, 55 meter dash, 55 meter hurdles, 1,600 meter run, 500 meter dash, 1,000 meter run, 300 meter dash, 3,200 meter run, 4×400 meter relay.
Some non-traditional events have been added to this meet, such as throwers relay (shot-put kids race each other), and field event throws and jumps will be added together for one team score.
It is a fun night and we hope to see everyone there. Santa is coming!
