Polk County High School’s women’s basketball team takes its 5-2 record to North Buncombe tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 17 after splitting games against East Henderson and Madison last week.
On Friday evening, Dec. 13 the Wolverines dropped a 57-35 game to Madison on the Patriots’ court.
“We came out flat, and didn’t shoot the ball well,” said coach Craig Culbreth.
Last Wednesday, Dec. 11 the Wolverines fared much better against East Henderson, outshooting the Eagles, 61-29.
After tonight’s contest, Polk hosts Mountain Heritage on Friday, Dec. 20 with the following game Jan. 3 at Mitchell.
Leading the Wolverines was Haley Kropp with 11 points, Janada Carson and Savannah Ross both had 6 points.
