Ed B. Keough

Edward Barry Keough, 84, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at his home in Columbus.

Born Dec. 31, 1928 in Bennington, Vt., he was the son of the late John E. and Agnes Barrett Keough.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. A longtime treasurer for the city of Bennington, Vt., the Keoughs moved to Polk County in 1982.  Ed enjoyed music, playing in the Tuba Christmas for the past 15 years.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Grace J. Keough; two daughters, Connie Prendergast of Columbus and Dawn Schmidt of Shelburne, Vt.; as well as three grandchildren: Michael Prendergast, David Schmidt and James Schmidt.

No public services are planned.
