Sue Whiskin

Sue Whiskin of Tryon died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 in Henderson Care Center, Forest City, N.C.
She was the wife of Frederick E. Whiskin, M.D. and a native of suburban Boston, Mass.
She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy, Johnsbury, Vermont; also a graduate of the Hitchcock School of Nursing, Hanover, NH, where she earned her R.N. and Johns Hopkins School of Anesthesia in Baltimore, MD.
She received a B.S. in nursing at Boston University, Boston, Mass. and also earned a graduate degree in counseling psychology at B.U. Prior to attending B.U., she studied liberal arts at Sophia University, while living in Tokyo, Japan. She studied art in Boston, Japan, Florida and Tryon, and has exhibited her paintings in many art shows.
She was an avid golfer and was a member of Tryon Country Club, and the Duxbury Yacht Club in Duxbury, MA.
Her husband is her only survivor. Private services will be held at a later date.
