Mildred Holbert Horne, 86, of Green Creek passed away Oct. 13, 2013.  She was the daughter of the late W.J. and Maude Pack Holbert and widow of William Ray Horne.

She was a member of Mill Creek Church of the Brethren and was retired from Hoechst Celanese.

She is survived by a son, Bill Horne of Green Creek; four daughters, Juanita Odel (Floy) of Sunny View, Marilyn Horne and Regina Pate (Rick), both of Green Creek and Laura Saenger (Mike) of Hickory, NC; a brother Raymond Holbert and three sisters, Shirley McEntyre, Katherine Barnette and June Smisor; 10 grandchildren, Kim Odel, Kelly Bradley, Lee Bradley, Brandon Horne, Ashley Horne, Rebecca Horne, Joseph Pate, Jacob Pate, Miles Saenger and Will Saenger; and five great-grandchildren, Maria, Rachel and Vanessa Raposa, Mia and Jessie Bradley; and friend and caregiver, Dessie Sheppard.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren Fellowship Hall.

Funeral services will follow at noon in the church sanctuary, conducted by Rev. Stephen Abe and Rev. Allen McKinney.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at the home on Thursday and Friday from 4-8 p.m.
