Franklin Delano Bradey, 80, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013.

He was married to Tressie Workman Bradey for 54 years.

Mr. Bradey was a native of Polk County, and a son of the late Homer D. and Grace Barnett Bradey. He was a truck driver and a member of Green Creek First Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Bradey is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Stacy Bradey of Columbus, Glenn and Leslie Bradey of Columbus, and Mark and Jolene Bradey of New Mexico; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Barbara Bradey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Preston Collins, Alice Mae Reynolds, and Mary Kate and Gary Owens; grandchildren,Travis, Jonathan, Colin and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Riley, Wyatt and Alexander. He was predeceased by brother, Dupree Bradey.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at Green Creek First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at Green Creek First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. officiated by Dr. Don McIntyre and Dr. Larry Gregg. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Green Creek First Baptist Church, 534 Coxe Rd. Columbus, NC 28722 or to Landrum Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 270 Fairwinds Dr. Landrum, SC 29356.
