Big hearts in little bodies

This charming girl has been healing and has been cared for at Landrum vet all this time. For the past few weeks, she has been pronounced totally fit and was ready for adoption to a good home. Sophie was my backup for Ned on my trip to Tryon Estates. I could think of so many people she’d be perfect for if they were interested.
My good friend, Barbara Childs had recently lost her beloved Stella, the last of the sweet Deerhounds she’s been rescuing for years. I met and spoke of Stella in the past and will personally attest to her sweetness. These gentle giants and Barbara are an uneven match, for Barbara may weigh 80 pounds soaking wet. I found their companionship humorous, but never doubted the bond.
Barbara came to Tryon Estates and when she met little Sophie she fell instantly in love. I could not think of a better choice for Sophie, though I had to spend the rest of the day telling folks she was spoken for. Sophie weighed in at 5.6 pounds when I weighed her that morning, so between them they’d be hard pressed to reach 90 pounds.
I know things about Barbara. She’s been through some tough times, as has little Sophie, now Sophia.
These two ladies may be diminutive in size, but they possess the hearts of giants and this alone will assure them a good life together. I’m so pleased with the outcome of this case that I’m bursting with joy.
I really have nothing else to say, so thanks for listening.
