Surviving his wife of 21 years, Ann Peek Richardson; one son, Rob R. Richardson III (Debra) of Plainfield, Ill.; one daughter, Debi Richardson of Plainfield, Ill.; one step-son, Trey LaChance of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; one step-daughter, Suzanne Yarber (B. Grant) of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren, Dave, Nici, Holly and Bobby. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Father Mickey Mugan officiating military rites presented by the Polk County Memorial Burial Squad.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Monday, Sept. 30 from 1-1:45 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
