Audiences will get the chance to decide for themselves if they enjoy D’oyen’s characterization of “Willy Wonka,” but if past roles he’s worked on are anything to go by, there’s a very good chance that this performance will be magical.

Directed by Jenna Tamisiea, with musical direction by Hank Hinant, “Willy Wonka” runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Tryon Fine Arts Center, and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
