Marylou Cox Gil

Marylou Cox Gil, 58, of Cold Springs Drive, Mill Spring, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 1, 2013 at her home.
Born in Harlingon, Tx., she was the daughter of the late William and Maria Saenz Cox. She moved to Polk County in l989 coming from San Diego, Calif. She was a member of New Hope In Christ Church, Hendersonville, N.C. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
Surviving are her husband of 40 years Pastor Vincent A. Gil; two sons, Adam V. Gil of Atlanta, Ga and Abraham A. Gil of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mary G. Morton (Phillip) of Mill Spring and Lily G. Brown (Bruce) of Boiling Springs, S.C. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Elianna Gil, David Morton, Lucas Brown and Caleb Brown; as well as three stisters, Lupe Rivera (Raul) of San Diego, Calif.; Elizabeth Escobedo of Mill Spring; Eva Gaitan of Mexico; and four brothers, Arturo Gaitan of Mexico; Carlos Chacon of San Diego, Calif.; Jesse Gaitan of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Bill Cox of San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Cox and Phillip Gaitan.
Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bruce Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 just prior to the service in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
Private burial rites will be held at a later date.
