Main St. to be paved at night
The N.C. Department of Transportation (DOT) is scheduled to begin work next week paving Ozone Drive and Main Street in Saluda.
Saluda City Council met April 8 and heard from city administrator Erny Williams who said paving should begin next week on Ozone Drive.
City officials said they do not know the exact day construction will begin, but spotting and surveying was being completed this week.
The paving is scheduled to be done on Ozone Drive to Howard Gap Road. Seminary and Henderson Streets are also scheduled for paving.
Following the completion of those streets, paving work is scheduled to begin on Main Street to the end of city limits.
Williams said all the work on Main Street will be done at night to avoid traffic disruptions.
He also said all the work is scheduled to be complete prior to the Saluda Arts Festival on May 18.
