Four arrested in Landrum on drug possession charges

Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Police Department, arrested four individuals Tuesday, Feb. 26 on charges of possession of narcotics within a ½ mile of a school.
Timothy Dale Crockett, 49, of Campobello; Jonathan Charles Groover, 29, of Taylors, S.C.; Kylen Gene Moss, 22, of Landrum; and Anita Jeanette Peeler, 39, of Landrum; were charged with possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of drugs near a school.
The four were arrested at 114 Kirby St., which is located within a 1/2 mile of Landrum Middle and O.P. Earle Elementary schools.
Evidence found at the scene included two small bags of white crystal methamphetamine, a set of digital scales, a clear container with two bags of white crystal methamphetamine, as well as several spoons with residue and syringes, according to the police report. The report said the four bags of methamphetamine weighed in at about 3.0 grams.
Crocket posted a $15,000 bond, Groover a $5,000 bond and Peeler a $15,000 bond, all on Feb. 27; Moss remained in jail on a $5,000 bond as of Wednesday afternoon.
