Linda Adams

Linda West Adams, 89, of 17 Pine Crest Lane, Tryon, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 in the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum.
Born in Campobello, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Sally Van Patton West. She was the widow of Robert Lee Adams, who died in l976. Linda was a lifelong member of the Tryon United Methodist Church, Tryon, and was active in several clubs and organizations.
Surviving are two sons, Jack Adams of Tryon and Bob Adams of Thomasville, N.C.; one sister, Betty Knox of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Margaret West of Rutherfordton, N.C. and longtime family friends Emily Ballew and Miriam McClure. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Lillian Phillips, Allie Vee Burns, Raymont West, Walter West, Mae Morrow, Chloris Blount and Sue Coggins.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Rev. Phillip Hurst and Rev. Bob Lair officiating.
