Sept. 24, 2012 session:
In Polk County District Court held Sept. 24, 2012 with Judge David K. Fox presiding, 115 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are printed as they appear in court records):
Miranda Jean Arnold was convicted of failure to wear seat belt-rear seat and possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Arnold was fined $40 and court costs.
Dennis Aleks Maksimov was convicted of speeding 70 mph in a 65 mph zone. Maksimov was fined $20 and court costs.
Ricardo Romer Mozqueda was convicted of no operator’s license. Mozqueda was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Franklin Lewis Randall was convicted of speeding 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Randall was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $90 fine and court costs.
Ezra Ray Roberts III was convicted of speeding 101 mph in a 65 mph zone. Roberts was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $101 fine and court costs.
Brette Marie Scoggin was convicted of speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. Scoggin was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $92 fine and court costs.
Lynda Fulcher Sharp was convicted of allow dangerous dog to run beyond. Sharp was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
Allison Swartz Sweezy was convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Sweezy was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, $72 in restitution and court costs.
Yonglin Wang was convicted of speeding 96 mph in a 65 mph zone. Wang was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $96 fine and court costs.
Hollys Lavon Williams was convicted of driving while impaired and no operator’s license. Williams was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, two days in jail, a $300 fine and court costs for driving while impaired and 24 months unsupervised probation and a $50 fine for no operator’s license.

The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are printed as they appear in court records):
Brian Steven Chandler was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Chandler was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, one day in jail and court costs.
Kinsley Beau Dever was convicted of possession/consumption of beer/wine on unauthorized premise. Dever was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Donald Earl Dunaway was convicted of misdemeanor flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle. Dunaway was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for time served.
Stephanie Mae Hayes was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Hayes was fined $30 and court costs.
Larry Dean Hudgins was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to dim headlamps and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Hudgins was sentenced to 16 days in jail with credit for time served.
Tyler Robert Metcalf was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21. Metcalf was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Andrew Benjamin Mills was convicted of speeding 29 mph in a 20 mph zone. Mills was fined $40 and court costs.
Janice Owensby Turner was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Turner’s probation was terminated.
David Oscar Wilson was convicted of possess/sell nontax paid alcoholic beverage. Wilson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.
