‘Inspired Drawing’ class at Tryon Painters and Sculptors

Lindsey Moore will teach a drawing class entitled “Inspired Drawing” at the Tryon Painters and Sculptors (TPS) studio. This eight-week session will be held on

Tuesdays from 9 a.m. noon, beginning Oct. 2 and ending Nov. 20. Some sessions will be held outside of the studio at local points of interest, weather permitting.
The class will encourage the use of mixed media drawing (crayon, pencil, pen and ink, brush, scratchboard and watercolor) created on paper, board and textured surfaces.
Moore teaches painting in Greenville, S.C. and has taught portraiture classes at the Tryon Fine Arts Center. He has volunteered with the Guilford County schools to teach drawing and art history in the elementary schools. He has been a freelance graphic artist for more than 30 years, having majored in graphic design and painting at Western Carolina University with post graduate studies in landscape painting in England and Italy.
His range of work includes industrial design in the commercial aircraft industry along with interior, textile and clothing design. He continues to work in his home studio creating commission portraits and landscapes.
